4. Teeth Cleaning and Polishing-

Teeth cleaning and polishing are two separate procedures to maintain good oral hygiene and prevent dental problems. Teeth cleaning involves the removal of plaque and tartar from the teeth and gum line. Plaque is a sticky film of bacteria that forms on teeth, which can lead to tooth decay and gum disease if not removed regularly. Tartar, also known as calculus, is a hard deposit that forms when plaque hardens on teeth. Specialized automated tools, such as scalers and curettes, are used to scrape away plaque and tartar. It can also involve flossing and polishing the teeth to remove surface stains.

Teeth polishing is a cosmetic procedure that aims to improve the appearance of teeth by removing surface stains and smoothing out rough spots on tooth enamel. The dental professional typically uses a special tool called a polisher, along with a polishing paste, to buff away surface stains and create a smooth, shiny surface on the teeth. Dental professionals usually recommend getting a professional cleaning and polishing every six months to maintain healthy teeth and gums.

MYTH- Teeth Cleaning leads to mobility of teeth

Gum bleeding is a common dental problem that can be caused by several factors, including gum disease, poor oral hygiene, and certain medical conditions. If you are experiencing gum bleeding, it is important to seek advice from a dental professional to determine the underlying cause and develop a treatment plan. Ignoring morning blood stained spit, bleeding while brushing, bleeding while eating hard fruits, gum pain on chewing and swollen gums can lead to a progressive disease known as Pyorrhea.
